Cheerwine Baked Beans

This recipe for Cheerwine Baked Beans came straight off of the Cheerwine website. Let’s begin!

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup Cheerwine

  • ⅓ cup tomato paste

  • ¼ cup light brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons molasses

  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped

  • 3 15½-ounce cans Great Northern beans, drained

  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In large bowl, whisk together Cheerwine, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and molasses.

Stir in onion and beans; season with salt and pepper. Transfer to 8″x8″ baking dish. Bake until thickened and bubbly, about 70 minutes.

Stir and serve.

  2. In large bowl, whisk together Cheerwine, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and molasses.
  3. Stir in onion and beans; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer to 8″x8″ baking dish.
  5. Bake until thickened and bubbly, about 70 minutes.
  6. Stir and serve.

Notes:

If you are sadly in an area that does not carry Cheerwine, you can substitute with another dark cola, such as Dr. Pepper or Cherry Coke...but Cheerwine's the best!
