This Cauliflower Steak Pizza is vegan, gluten free and dairy free…and guilt free! All the delicious pizza flavors are in this easy and very satisfying recipe. No dough to make or buy, just simple ingredients: Start with a cauliflower head and olive oil and pile on whatever healthy toppings your heart desires after your cauliflower steak is roasted halfway. I added a little pizza sauce, seasoning, mushrooms, olives and spinach and used a light sprinkle of dairy-free cheese. You can use real cheese, just keep in mind that will change the calorie intake and it will not be vegan or dairy-free any longer. Instructions:

Preheat oven or toaster oven to 425℉ / 218℃ and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

Brush on olive oil on both sides of cauliflower steak and place on prepared baking sheet.

Sprinkle top of cauliflower steak with Italian seasoning and roast, uncovered, for 15 minutes.

Carefully flip over cauliflower slices. (I used tongs and a spatula.)

Sprinkle more Italian seasoning on top, then spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each slice.

Load on desired toppings. I added spinach, mushrooms, black olives and a light sprinkle of dairy-free cheese.

Place back in oven and roast another 15 minutes.

What does cauliflower steak pizza taste like?

Remove from oven and let cool 1-2 minutes before slicing and enjoying.

What does cauliflower steak pizza taste like? The cauliflower mimics deep dish pizza crust in such a delicious way and the texture has a slight outer crunch and soft inside. The Mrs. Dash Italian Blend Seasoning is a must for that burst of pizza flavor and the smell is incredible.

Can you slice cauliflower steak pizza?

It slices very easily for hands on eating, but if you prefer a fork and knife, that’s ok too!

TIP: If you want to roast the outer cauliflower florets that will fall off when cutting the steak slices, just brush with the EVOO and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. You can dip in pizza sauce or marinara like you would breadsticks or garlic knots.

Enjoy!
