Champagne Margarita

easy recipe using limoncello

 

This Champagne Margarita is such a refreshing a festive cocktail for a celebration like New Year’s, anniversary or a birthday party. Sometimes you just need something more special than plain champagne and this cocktail has all the flavor of margarita but with a light and bright bubbly factor with each sip. Delicious and easy-to-make recipe! Yield: one serving, so adjust recipe as needed.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2oz fresh lime juice

  • 1 1/2oz limoncello liqueur

  • 1oz tequila

  • champagne or sparkling white grape juice

Optional garnish: lime wedges and margarita salt

Instructions:

First, rim serving glasses with margarita salt by using a cut lime wedge and wetting the rim, then dipping rim of glass into salt. Fill glasses half full of ice.

In a mixing cup, stir together first 3 ingredients and pour into serving glasses. Top off with champagne or sparkling white grape juice and garnish with lime. (If not using ice, fill a shaker with ice and add first three ingredients and shake, then pour into glass then top with champagne.)

Celebrate and drink responsibly.

For a mocktail version, replace the limoncello and tequila with lemonade and use sparkling white grape juice.
