Make your trick-or-treaters feel special with these one-of-a-kind Halloween Treat Bags. Made with simple brown lunch sacks, ribbon and printed out vintage images. You can use for putting party favors in to hand to guests when they depart. Or perhaps you don’t have many visitors, but you would like each one to feel special, or maybe you want to use for homemade goodies to hand our to your kids, grandkids, or close neighbors.

My grandmother use to make the best homemade treats for us on Halloween. She would hand out popcorn balls, fudge and cookies, all freshly made and wrapped up. Oh how I looked forward to those special treats! These treat bags would be the perfect thing to hold special delicious goodies like that. Follow the simple instructions below to create these unique treat bags for your visiting ghosts, ghouls and goblins!

Materials needed:

  • Scissors

  • Hole punch

  • Brown paper lunch sacks

  • Printed out various Halloween scenes (I found some unique vintage clip-art for free)

  • 12 inch strips of ribbon

  • Goodies to fill sack

Instructions:

Start by printing out some unique Halloween scenes.

My printer was out of ink, so I used OfficeMax’s same day copy service to upload some clip art and for 6¢ a copy, (I did two per sheet) I picked up my prints in less than an hour.

Cut out your Halloween art to fit the size of the lunch sack.

Cut your festive ribbon in 12 inch strips.

Fold down top of sack, towards back, about 2-3 inches.

Position and hold printout on the front side of sack where desired and use the hole puncher to punch out two holes near the top, roughly one inch apart.

Unfold sack and fill with candy or homemade treats, then refold top back.

Feed both sides of ribbon through the punched out holes, starting in the back and feeding through to the front.

Slide printout through ribbon and tie in bow to attach.

All done and ready to hand out!👻

Set them on a table or stand by the door for an easy reach when the trick-or-treaters show up.

Enjoy!
