Shark Attack Drink

shark week mocktail idea

Shark Attack Drink Inspiration

This fun and quirky shark attack mocktail was inspired by Shark Week, a 30 year+ tradition on the Discovery channel. My son and I just love watching it together and we are both fascinated with all the amazing facts about the many shark species and their behavior. I remember buying many books for my son about sharks when he was younger, but I would also found myself immersed in them as well! So this drink is my nod to the dangerous, yet fascinating king of the sea, the SHARK.🦈 Three layers of delicious flavors that look like the ocean in a glass topped off with shark fin ice cubes or bits of strawberries.

Let’s begin!

Ingredients:

  • Shark fin ice mold, found HERE

  • 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup plant based milk

  • 5-8 fresh strawberries, stems removed

  • 1 cup cran-apple juice (or any red juice)

  • Blue sports drink

  • 5-6 cubes ices

  • So Delicious Vanilla yogurt alternative

Optional: additional chopped strawberries for garnish

Instructions:

STEP 1: Blend your fresh or frozen blueberries with the milk and carefully pour into the shark fin molds. Freeze for at least 2 hours.

STEP 2: Blend strawberries with the cran-apple juice and pour into glasses, filling the bottom 1/3 of glass.

STEP 3: Blend together blue sports drink and ice and carefully scoop on top of the red bottom layer, using 1/3 of the glass.

STEP 4: Scoop vanilla yogurt on top of the blue layer, filling almost to top.

STEP 5: Place a shark fin(s) on top of yogurt layer and garnish with chopped fresh strawberries or strawberry jam, if desired.
